Longevity and Light Therapy

If there’s one thing most people strive for, it’s to live a long and healthy life. It’s why we eat healthy, take our vitamins, work out, and meditate. While these things all help keep us mentally and physically healthy, there’s more to life than that. As we all know, the sun is what brings life to this earth. Without it, nothing would be able to sustain itself on this planet. We live off of light. Through light, human life can be extended.

Now, we get it. It may sound a little crazy, but it’s not. It’s science. Longevity is the process we undergo to extend our life expectancy. Naturally, you’re aware of many of those tools - nutrition, exercise, vitamins - while they do play an important role, they do not include using light to enhance the human body.

The health benefits of LED light therapy are undoubtedly significant. In 1965, NASA began using light therapy to aid astronaut’s reintegration back to earth after being in zero-gravity space. NASA saw the direct benefits and continued to use light therapy to treat various medical conditions. But how does it work to elongate human life?

The sun contains a full spectrum of light; some light is visible to the human eye, and others are not. However, scientists discovered that each visible color of light could positively impact human health, with red and infrared light proving to have the most profound benefits. When red and infrared light penetrates through the skin, it affects the body’s cellular health, changing an individual’s life expectancy from the cellular level.

Professor Jeffrey at University College London studied the impact of red light on the quality of life of fruit flies. He stated, “The first thing we realized is that not only did we improve the metabolism of the flies but also the flies lived longer. They were much healthier in old age. Research has also shown that they were healthier cognitively. They remembered things they wouldn’t have done without the red light.”

So, how can it affect an individual’s life expectancy? When the red light is applied to the body, light frequency treats damaged and malfunctioning tissues by stimulating ATP (adenosine triphosphate) produced in the mitochondria. ATP is an energy-carrying molecule that produces energy our body needs to function. When ATP is produced, the body can heal tissue, cells, and systems within the body. Thus, conditions such as inflammation and pain are eliminated. While it works to enhance human life expectancy, it also helps maintain good health.

Red light therapy and your immune system go hand-in-hand. Since the body is regenerating new cells and healing damaged ones, your body is in optimal condition and able to support and fight off any viruses that come your way. Living a long life is one thing, but maintaining good health is another, yet both can be achieved through light therapy.

Aside from feeling younger, red light therapy also helps people look younger by reducing fine lines and wrinkles and increasing collagen production. Thus, it’s important to understand that red light therapy bio hacks the body, providing it with multiple healing properties which will extend your life.

It’s clear that during these times, we all want to live a long and happy life. While eating right and exercising are important, you need to support your body from the cellular level.
